Texas Transportation Plan 2050

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is planning a multimodal transportation system that supports the people we serve, their needs, and their futures. That plan is the Texas Transportation Plan (TTP) 2050.

TTP 2050 will:

  • Consider public and stakeholder input
  • Implement the goals of the 2019-2023 Strategic Plan and build on the existing work produced for the Statewide Long-Range Transportation Plan 2040
  • Summarize existing and future system conditions, needs, revenues, funding gaps, and supporting data sources for all modes

TxDOT has conducted two rounds of public outreach in 2019: one in January through March and a second in September and October. The Draft TTP 2050 is now available. It is anticipated that in late August it will be reviewed for adoption by the Texas Transportation Commission as the policy document for the future of Texas transportation.

A virtual public hearing will be held Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020 at 10 a.m. The hearing will present the Draft TTP 2050 and solicit public comments. Participate in the public hearing and provide comments.
