TxDOT vehicle and equipment logo use

Special use version of the TxDOT logo for use on TxDOT vehicles and equipment.

Texas Transportation Code (TTC) §721.002 mandates state-owned motor vehicles have inscription requirements for visibility, identification, and transparency. Where the TTC §721.002 is applicable, the ‘vehicle logo’, displayed above, should be used. The vehicle logo complies with the requirements:

  • Including “Texas” followed by title of state agency.
  • High Contrast
  • Legible from at least 100 feet
  • Letter size no smaller than 2 inches high.

Exemptions

Certain agencies may be eligible for exemptions under §721.003. If your division believes an exemption is warranted consult with the Fleet Division, General Counsel Division and administrative leadership.

Approved use

The TxDOT vehicle and equipment logo is permitted for use on TxDOT vehicles and equipment only.

Prohibited use:

  • Don't use or distribute the vehicle logo for any purpose other than approved vehicle or equipment branding.
  • Don't use this logo on marketing materials, merchandise, or apparel. It is strictly reserved for vehicles and equipment only.
  • Don't alter, resize, or recolor the logo for use on non-vehicle or non-equipment items.
  • Don't incorporate this logo into digital assets such as websites, social media graphics, or presentations.
  • Don't use this logo in combination with other logos or design elements outside of approved vehicle and equipment branding guidelines.

Accessing the logo

  • Employees can access the TxDOT logo from the organization's intranet. 
  • Vendors should request the logo from their TxDOT point of contact.
