Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

TxDOT's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee advises the Transportation Commission on bicycle and pedestrian issues. Members are selected by the commission to serve voluntary, three year terms.

Public participation

By involving representatives of the public, including bicyclists, pedestrians, and other interested parties, TxDOT helps ensure effective communication with the bicycling and pedestrian communites.

Bicyclist and pedestrian perspectives will be considered in the development of departmental policies affecting bicyclists and pedestrians, including the design, construction, and maintenance of highways.
