The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) increased funding for Federal Transit Administration (FTA) grant programs, including the Buses and Bus Facilities Program and the Low and No Emission Vehicle Program. These two programs provide funding to modernize buses, improve bus facilities, and invest in cleaner, efficient transit technology. In FY2023, the application for the two programs was combined into one application to allow applicants to apply for both programs with a single application. The combined application was noticed under the Low or No Emission Grant Program and Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Program.
