TIGER 2014

The United States Department of Transportation announced the availability of approximately $600 million in Transportation Infrastructure Generating Economic Recovery Discretionary Grants in accordance with the 2014 Consolidated Appropriations Act. Funds are distributed on a competitive basis to projects with meaningful national, regional or local effects.

TxDOT as lead applicant

TIGER 2014 grants are for capital investment in surface transportation infrastructure and includes up to $35 million for project-level or regional planning grants. USDOT specifies that lead applicants may submit no more than three applications for capital investment and three applications for planning grants. TxDOT has chosen to submit one application for capital investments and none for planning grants.
