Federal grant applications
The Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development, or BUILD Transportation Discretionary Grant program, provides a unique opportunity for the DOTs to invest in road, rail, transit and port projects that promise to achieve national objectives.
In 2018, TxDOT was awarded two grants for a total of $50 million. The Glasscock and Reagan County Improvement Project and the Winkler County Improvement Project each received $25 million to support critical improvements needed to address safety and connectivity in the booming Permian Basin.
