Value our employees
Performance Dashboard
One of TxDOT's strategic goals is to respect and care for the well-being and development of our employees.
This is reflected in the following objectives:
- TxDOT employees have access to and are aware of opportunities for career growth and advancement.
- TxDOT provides an environment where employees are welcomed, safe, and supported.
- Supervisors are equipped and trained to be effective leaders for the agency.
To assess TxDOT’s progress toward this goal, we track the performance measure below.
This score reflects employee engagement and satisfaction.
This survey helps TxDOT understand how its employees experience the workplace and identify areas for improvement. It supports a culture of transparency and continuous growth by turning feedback into actionable insights. Engaged employees are essential to delivering on TxDOT’s mission and serving the people of Texas effectively.
The Employee Engagement score is based on results from the Survey of Employee Engagement (SEE) administered by The University of Texas at Austin Institute for Organizational Excellence. The SEE consists of 48 items used to assess how the organization functions. The items are scored on a 5-point scale from strongly disagree to strongly agree. A score above 350 indicates employees are more satisfied than are dissatisfied.
The overall score represents the comprehensive score for the organization. The score by category is an average of similar items grouped together. These categories capture the concepts most utilized by leadership and drive organization performance and engagement.
