Authorizations and approvals
On April 30, 2015, in Minute Order 114242, the Texas Transportation Commission (TTC) authorized TxDOT to issue a request for qualifications (RFQ) to develop, design, construct, and maintain the SH 249 Extension.
An Industry Workshop was held on May 29, 2015 in advance of the release of the RFQ by TxDOT.
On Aug. 17, 2015, TxDOT posted the full list of proposer teams and their equity members for the SH 249 Extension. TxDOT announced the short list on August 27, 2015 of the most qualified teams that were invited to submit detailed proposals.
