North Houston Highway Improvement Project (NHHIP) 3C-2
Authorizations and approvals
On July 30, 2026, the Texas Transportation Commission, in minute order 117235, authorized the issuance of an RFQ to design and construct the NHHIP 3C-2 Project (Project) in Harris County. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is seeking qualifications statements (QS) from teams interested in entering into a design-build contract (DBC) in response to the RFQ. The Project includes realigning and reconstructing eight mainlanes and addition of four non-tolled managed lanes on Interstate 10, widening and realigning six to seven mainlanes on Interstate 45, and realigning and reconstructing eight mainlanes on Interstate 69.
