I-635 LBJ East - request for qualifications (RFQ)

Authorizations and approvals

On May 24, 2018, the Texas Transportation Commission (TTC), in Minute Order 115220, authorized the issuance of a request for qualifications (RFQ) to design, develop, construct, and potentially maintain improvements in the I-635 corridor from US 75 to I-30 in Dallas County, known as the I-635 LBJ East Project.

On June 15, 2018, TxDOT held a Pre-QS Industry Workshop to discuss the proposed project and its purpose and need to relieve congestion, improve safety and mobility, and provide reliable travel time in the area.

On July 18, 2018, TxDOT posted the list of qualification teams and their equity members for the I-635 LBJ East Project. TxDOT announced the shortlist of the most qualified teams to submit detailed proposal on July 26, 2018.

RFQ documents

TxDOT issued the initial RFQ on June 8, 2018, and two subsequent addenda were distributed as well as a Q&A matrix to the shortlisted proposers. These documents are available below.
