The SH 288 Comprehensive Development Agreement (Concession Agreement) was executed by TxDOT and Blueridge Transportation Group on March 4, 2016. The Texas Transportation Commission (Commission) determined that termination for convenience of the Concession Agreement was in the best interest of TxDOT. Termination of the Concession Agreement occurred on Oct. 8, 2024, and control of the Project reverted to TxDOT. The Commission has also authorized the Texas Transportation Finance Corporation (a non-profit corporation created by the Texas Transportation Commission) to further develop and operate the Project.
