Authorizations and approvals

On March 31, 2022, the Texas Transportation Commission (TTC), in Minute Order 116217, authorized the issuance of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to design, construct, and maintain the I-35 Northeast Expansion (NEX) South Project, in Bexar County along I-35 from I-410 South to I-410 North and along the portion of I-410 South from I-35/I-410 South Interchange to 0.3 miles north of Seguin Road/FM 78.

TxDOT held a Virtual Industry Workshop on February 14, 2022, and a second Industry Workshop on April 7, 2022. These were discussions with industry partners in advance of RFQ issuance.

RFQ documents

On July 15, 2022, TxDOT posted the list of qualification teams and their equity members for the I-35 NEX South Project.

TxDOT issued the original request for qualification (RFQ) on April 15, 2022. There were three subsequent addenda. These documents are available below.
