The virtual public meeting will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021, and will be available through Friday, Sept. 24, 2021.  

Purpose:

TxDOT is hosting a virtual public meeting for proposed improvements to SH 115 from Spur 57 in Pyote to SH 128 in Ward, Winkler and Andrews counties, Texas.

The virtual meeting will consist of a pre-recorded presentation, an interactive map, and an opportunity to comment. Comments must be received or postmarked on or before Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, to be part of the official record of the virtual public meeting.

Description:

The proposed SH 115 South project starts at Spur 57 in Pyote and extends north for 49 miles through the cities of Wink and Kermit, and then eventually ends at SH 128, about 3.4 miles past the Winkler/Andrews county line. Proposed improvements would include widening to a four-lane divided highway with two lanes in each direction and a depressed median.

It has not been determined how much additional right of way may be required or whether the project will involve construction in wetlands or floodplains.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23. U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
