Purpose The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Bryan District is proposing improvements to the SH 47 at SH 21 interchange in Brazos County, Texas. This notice advises the public that TxDOT will be conducting a public meeting on the proposed project.
Description

The proposed project would reconfigure the SH 47 at SH 21 interchange and improve adjacent intersections along SH 21 and SH 47 to enhance safety, reduce congestion, maintain local connectivity and improve mobility within the project limits. The project length is approximately 2.9 miles.

The proposed project, subject to final design considerations, would require limited areas of right of way. Although additional right of way would be required, no residential or nonresidential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time. Information about the TxDOT Relocation Assistance Program and services and benefits for those displaced and other affected property owners, as well as information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction, can be obtained from the TxDOT Bryan Right-of-Way office by calling (979) 778-9716.

Accessibility The public meeting will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the public meeting, please contact Bob Colwell, Bryan District Public Information Officer, at (979) 778-9764 no later than 4 p.m. CT, Monday, Nov. 11, 2024. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
