Purpose The Texas Department of Transportation in collaboration with the City of College Station and the Bryan/College Station Metropolitan Planning Organization (BCS MPO) is proposing improvements to FM 2154 (Wellborn Road) from SH 40 (William D. Fitch Parkway) to Greens Prairie Road in Brazos County, Texas. This notice advises the public that TxDOT will be conducting a public hearing on the proposed project. The goal of the project is to enhance safety, increase capacity for anticipated future traffic, and provide bicycle and pedestrian accommodations.
Description

The proposed project would widen FM 2154 from the existing two-lane roadway with a center turn lane to a four-lane roadway, two lanes in each direction, separated by a raised median with dedicated left turn lanes at selected intersections. Additional improvements include a traffic signal at the intersection with McCullough Road, a curb and gutter, and a shared-use path along the east side of the roadway. The proposed project is approximately 2.7 miles long.
