In-person details

TxDOT is hosting an in-person community workshop to share the feedback received on potential mobility improvements and relief route options and to provide opportunities to share input on how they will be evaluated. No formal presentation is planned, and the community members are invited to come and go at their convenience. If you can’t attend the workshop in-person, feel free to view the materials online beginning on April 9, 2024, at 5 p.m.

Purpose TxDOT is conducting a study to improve safety and mobility in Lee County. The purpose of this study, in collaboration with local stakeholders and the public, is to address current traffic issues in downtown Giddings and plan for future growth.
Description The proposed improvements through this study would address current traffic issues in downtown Giddings and plan for future growth. The purpose of this study, in collaboration with local stakeholders and the public, is to arrive at locally recommended improvement options to address current and future needs. Further project development, including schematic design, environmental review, and funding, would depend on the outcome of the mobility study.
Accessibility The US 290 Giddings Mobility Study community workshop will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs.
