Maintaining account access
TxDOT has implemented a Non-Use Policy for all users with an -O and -C account.
Users will also need to log into both TxDOTCONNECT & TxDOTNow every 30 days to maintain their user account in active status.
Important: If a consultant does not log in every 30 days, their TxDOT network account will be disabled for use and will be unable to log in.
Note: For issues logging in, email the TxDOTCONNECT_helpdesk@txdot.gov for Engineering consultants or the ROW_Applications_Helpdesk@txdot.gov for Right of Way consultants.
TxDOTCONNECT external engineering consultants
New access
Note: This guidance is for External Engineering Consultants, who only access TxDOTCONNECT from outside the TxDOT network and are identified by a -O user ID. To access TxDOTCONNECT, external partners should take the following steps:
- If you are a Professional Engineer, Landscape Architect, or Engineer Estimate Coordinator consultant please fill out the security form P-ITD-ISO-025-1 and Form 1980.
- Send the signed forms to your company point of contact (POC).
- The company POC will email the forms to the TxDOTCONNECT_helpdesk@txdot.gov.
FHWA and MPO consultants
Federal Highways Administration, and Metropolitan Organizations users identified by a -O account or Contractors identified by a –C account should continue managing access with their sponsoring district or division.
TxDOTCONNECT ROWAPS, Utility, or Surveyor consultants

Note: This guidance is for external Right-of-Way consultants, who only access TxDOTCONNECT from outside the TxDOT network and are identified by a –O user ID.
If you are a ROWAPS, Utility, or Surveyor consultant, please fill out security form P-ITD-ISO-025-1 and 1980-ROW (ROW-IR-TC) email your access request to the ROW_Applications_Helpdesk@txdot.gov.
Access updates for Engineering and Right-of-Way consultants
The external consultant’s company POC or their sponsored TxDOT staff member should send an email request to the TxDOTCONNECT_helpdesk@txdot.gov for Engineering consultants or the ROW_Applications_Helpdesk@txdot.gov for Right of Way consultants.
This email should contain the following information:
- External user's name, user ID, email, and phone number
- Identify the action to be taken and details:
- Profile information update: Include details to be updated
- Add/Remove security roles: List security role(s)
- Add/Remove supporting districts: List district(s)
- Request to disable user in TxDOTCONNECT
