Purpose:
The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input on the US 67/ US 87 Relief Route Study in San Angelo. As part of the study, environmental data, public input, and recommendations will be utilized to improve safety and mobility in the vicinity of the City of San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas. The meeting will be an Open House format with a formal presentation starting at 5:30 p.m. Staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Dec. 2, 2019, to be a part of the official record.
Description:
The study limits include US 67/US 87 from 67/277 northeast of San Angelo to US 87 north of San Angelo. The goal of the study is to consider alternatives to existing US 277 that would enhance mobility and ease future traffic congestion by connecting US 277 to US 67/US 87 north of San Angelo.

Memorandum of Understanding:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
