Purpose:
The purpose of the meeting is to gather information on the proposed project to widen SL 378 (Christoval Road) from FM 1223 (South Chadbourne Street) to US 87 and realign the intersection of Fairview School Road and Christoval Road in Tom Green County, Texas. The meeting will be an Open House format with a formal presentation starting at 6 p.m. Staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received by February 14, 2020 to be included in the official record.
Description:
The proposed project includes the addition of northbound and southbound travel lanes and a center turn lane on approximately 2.4 miles of Christoval Road from South Chadbourne Street to US 87. Additionally, the project includes the realignment of the intersection at Fairview School Road and Christoval Road. The proposed roadway upgrades incorporate curb and gutter along the project limits. These upgrades are proposed to reduce congestion, provide safer turning conditions, and increase the utility of Christoval Road in the City of San Angelo. The existing ROW width is 100 feet throughout the project limits. Although additional right-of-way is required, no residential structures are expected to be displaced. Proposed project schematics and information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition will be available at the meeting and may be obtained from the district office at the address listed below.
