Purpose | The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input and provide information about the proposed widening of US 83 from Concho County line to US 190 North of Menard in Menard County, Texas. |
Description | The proposed project would extend for approximately 10.6 miles along US 83, which currently consists of a rural two-lane undivided highway with alternating passing lanes within a 120-foot-wide right of way. The proposed project would widen US 83 within a 370-foot-wide right of way. The proposed project would be constructed in two phases;
Construction of Phase II would be dependent on funding and interstate planning. The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way and an analysis will be conducted to determine whether the proposed project would result in impacts to environmental resources or result in potential displacements as the project develops. |
