Open House Details: Odem Junior High School

Purpose The purpose of the Open House is to present an overview of the planning study and project development process and timeline, the route options screening results, the route options that are being advanced for further study, and a comparison matrix of the advanced route options’ potential impacts and estimated construction costs. The in-person Open House will be in a come-and-go format, and a pre-recorded presentation will be shown. Study team members will be on hand to provide information and answer questions. US 77 Odem Area Planning Study materials are provided below. These materials are the same as what is presented at the in-person open house. Comments can be provided in person or online.
Description

The US 77 Odem Area Planning Study intends to:

  • Establish the purpose and need to bring US 77 up to interstate standards to extend I‑69E in the future
  • Describe the environmental features
  • Assess existing and future traffic conditions
  • Develop and screen route options to determine which one(s) should be advanced for further detailed schematic design and environmental study
  • Consider how best to minimize adverse impacts to environmental and community features
  • Engage stakeholders and the public throughout the project development process
