Description:

TxDOT is proposing to widen SH 155 from 0.3 miles east of US Highway 259 to Glendia Drive in Upshur County, Texas.  The total length of the project is approximately 0.69 miles. The purpose of this project is to widen SH 155 from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway with a center left turn to improve safety and mobility for the traveling public. The existing SH 155 roadway varies in width from 42 feet to 76 feet with varying configurations from two lanes to four lanes divided by a flush median. The proposed roadway would consist of four 12-foot travel lanes, a 14-foot median, with 4-foot paved shoulders. A 6-foot sidewalk would be constructed on the south side of SH 155 throughout the project.  The proposed roadway would have a typical right of way width varying from 120 feet to 150 feet.  Approximately 0.26 acres of additional right of way would be required for this project.  No residential or non-residential structures would be displaced.

Comments and requests for a public hearing must be submitted in writing on or before March 17, 2018, to the TxDOT Atlanta District Office, Katie Martin, P.E., Project Manager, 701 E. Main St., Atlanta, TX 75551.
