Notice and Opportunity to Comment on FM 1735 from SH 49 to 2.1 miles south of SH 49 in Titus County, Texas

Purpose:

TxDOT is proposing to reconstruct and widen FM 1735 from SH 49 to 2.1 miles south of SH 49 in Titus County, Texas. This notice is affording an opportunity to comment as part of the environmental review process for this project.

Description:

The project consists of reconstructing and widening 2.1 miles of FM 1735 to include two 12-foot travel lanes, a 16-foot flush median, and two 10-foot shoulders. It also includes upgrading the intersection of FM 1735 at SH 49. The existing right of way (ROW) varies between 80-120 feet, and the proposed ROW will be approximately 160-feet-wide throughout the length of the project but will vary in some locations.

As shown at the public meeting held on Dec. 4, 2018, the proposed project will require additional right of way in some locations and potentially displace three residences and two non-residential structures.  Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. Information about the TxDOT Relocation Assistance Program and services and benefits for those displaced and other affected property owners, as well as information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction, can be obtained from the TxDOT district office by calling Kristy Fincher at (903) 799-1321.

The proposed layout for this project can be found below. You may call Katie Martin, P.E., at (903) 799-1342 to ask questions about the project at any time during the project development process.
