About TxDOTTxDOT is evaluating the design and construction of the US 290 DB in Washington County. The project includes realigning and reconstructing four mainlanes along US 290 for 2.5 miles from FM 389 to 1.2 miles east of FM 2679. Improvements include two direct connectors at the SH 36 interchange, and additional operational improvements along SH 36 at the interchange with US 290.
