Commercial Signs Licensing and Permitting Application (CSLAP)

Due to TxDOT transitioning to a new Commercial Signs Licensing and Permitting (CSLAP) system, EPS will be offline from September 1 through January 29, 2025, for system upgrades. Access to the new CSLAP system will begin January 29, 2025.

System outage

EPS will be unavailable starting September 1, 2024.

Existing applications

We will continue processing any applications submitted before September 1, 2024 in EPS.

Temporary submission process

Paper submission for a new license, permit or transfer will be accepted between September 1, 2024 – January 29, 2025. All paper applications and corresponding payment must be sent to the address below for proper handling by the State Comptroller. Applicants will receive notice of decision for the application via USPS Certified Mail.
