SRC Task Force

TxDOT’s Statewide and Rural Connectivity Task Force was charted in 2023 to guide and provide strategic direction for the development of a comprehensive statewide and rural connectivity program.

SRC Task Force's Objective

Ensure statewide and rural connectivity needs are considered in the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) planning, programming, and development processes including providing recommendations in the development of the annual Unified Transportation Program (UTP).

Coordinate and facilitate integration among all task forces, such as Congestion, Economic Development and Stakeholder Engagement, Safety, and other initiatives such as the Advisory Committees.

SRC Task Force Participants

  • Two Commissioners (one serving as chair) appointed by the Texas Transportation Commission (TTC) Chair.
  • Members of Administration (ADM) leadership.
  • District Engineers from all current and future key rural and statewide connectivity corridors, and corridors of interest.
  • Transportation Planning and Programming Division staff and representatives from other Divisions as needed.
  • Participation will also be open to all Rural, Urban, and Metro Districts, as well as relevant Divisions.
