Spring roadway photo contest

Spring has sprung—and so has the perfect opportunity to celebrate the natural beauty of Texas roadways! We're inviting you to share your best photos that capture the colors, scenery, and charm of springtime along the roads that connect our communities.

Whether you’re an amateur with a cell phone or a seasoned pro shooting with a Canon R5, this contest is open to all skill levels. We want to see how you see the road.

The contest closes Friday, May 16th, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Don’t miss your chance to showcase your work!

What we’re looking for

We're looking for original photos that highlight the spring season along our roadways—think wildflowers, sunsets, open highways, or unique roadside views. Creativity and composition count!

Safety first

Your safety is our top priority. If you're capturing photos near roadways, please use extreme caution. Stay clear of moving traffic, wear high-visibility clothing if needed, and never enter restricted or unsafe areas to get a shot.

Recognition

Up to five winning entries will be selected!

Each winning photo will be proudly displayed at the TxDOT San Angelo District Headquarters and featured in our upcoming TxDOT postcard publications.

It’s a chance to have your work showcased and shared with the community!

How it works

Submit one photo using the form below. You may submit unlimited entries, but you must complete a separate form for each photo.

Winning entries will be featured on TxDOT platforms, including social media, newsletters, and possibly printed materials.

Only winning photos will be published; if your photo is not selected, it will not be used.

Ready to enter?

Fill out the form, upload your photo, and show us your view of spring on the road. We can’t wait to see what you share!
