Abilene District Engineer

Greg Cedillo, P.E., is the interim Abilene District engineer.

The district comprises 13 counties: Borden, Callahan, Fisher, Haskell, Howard, Jones, Kent, Mitchell, Nolan, Scurry, Shackelford, Stonewall and Taylor

Cedillo began his career with TxDOT in 1999. He served as an engineering assistant in the Lubbock District until 2002, when he transferred to the Wichita Falls District as an assistant area engineer in the Graham Area Office. After earning his license as a professional engineer in 2004, Cedillo transferred to the Fort Worth District’s central design office. In 2005, he was named the Wise County Assistant Area Engineer and worked with maintenance, design, and construction.

In 2009, Cedillo was named South Tarrant County Area Engineer. In this capacity, he was directly responsible for metro maintenance and multi-million-dollar construction projects, including the Interstate 30 Mobility Improvement Project, the I-30/SH 360 Interchange Project in Arlington’s entertainment district, and the Interstate 20/SH 183 Interchange Project at Chisholm Trail Parkway. He was promoted in 2017 to director of construction for the Fort Worth District, where he has overseen the Construction and Alternative Delivery Program worth more than four billion dollars.

Cedillo graduated from Texas Tech University in 1999.
