FM 2252 from Evans Road to FM 3009
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is advancing improvements along FM 2252 from Evans Road to FM 3009 in Garden Ridge (San Antonio, Bexar County). The project will expand the existing two-lane roadway to four lanes and includes a raised median or continuous left turn lane, bicycle lanes, and sidewalks to enhance mobility and safety for all users. Additional major components include construction of a new railroad overpass (grade separation at the UPRR crossing) and replacement of the bridge over Cibolo Creek.
Current Construction Activities:
The contractor is actively working on bridge components associated with the second phase of bridge construction. All bridge columns and caps have been completed. Concrete beams for spans 2, 3, and 4 have been placed. Crews are currently constructing retaining walls for the bridge abutments. The contractor is starting to pave the south bound lanes of FM 2252 from Arrow wood south.
Estimated Completion: Spring 2027
