Purpose The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input and provide information about the proposed project to construct a two-lane railroad overpass on SH 185 between 7th Street and King Road in Victoria County, Texas
Description

The proposed project would construct a two-lane overpass on SH 185 crossing the railroad within the town of Bloomington. Access roads would be constructed on each side of the overpass to provide access to existing city streets and commercial/residential properties.

The proposed project also includes the realignment of FM 616 from the intersection with King Road east of Bloomington, shifting to the south side of and parallel to King Road, intersecting with SH 185 just south of the existing SH 185/King Road intersection. King Road would terminate in cul-de-sacs on the east side of SH 185 as well as the east end of King Road approximately 0.5 miles east of SH 185. Herbert Avenue would be extended approximately 100 ft to provide access to the realigned FM 616.

The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way and potentially displace 11 residences and 1 non-residential structure.

Any environmental documentation or studies, maps and drawings showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed project are on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at TxDOT Yoakum District Office, 403 Huck St, Yoakum, TX 77995. This information also will be available for inspection at the open house.
