The in-person option will be held in an open house format. In-person attendees will be able to view the same presentation delivered in the virtual online public meeting which will be playing on a screen, review hard copies of project materials, ask questions to TxDOT staff and/or consultants, and leave written comments.

The virtual option will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. The presentation will be posted online by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025, on this webpage.

If you do not have internet access, you may contact the project manager at (361) 293-4328 Monday through Friday, to ask questions and access project materials during the project development process.

The proposed project would enhance safety and bring the roadway into compliance with current design standards. The corridor would maintain its existing two-lane footprint while widening the shoulders and rehabilitating existing curves. A typical slope ditch is proposed along both sides of FM 102 to accommodate drainage, along with various culvert replacements and improvements. The proposed project would involve construction in wetlands and involve an action in a floodplain.

The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way and potentially displace one residence.

The in-person public meeting and virtual option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs.
