| Purpose | TxDOT is proposing to improve SH 22 from CR 1801 to the Hill County Line in Bosque County, Texas. |
| Description | The proposed project would improve State Highway (SH) 22 from County Road (CR) 1801 to the Hill County line in Laguna Park in Bosque County, Texas. SH 22 is currently a five-lane undivided roadway with two through lanes in each direction and a two-way left turn lane. The proposed project would reconstruct the roadway as a three-lane section with one through lane in each direction, a two way left turn lane, improved shoulders and pedestrian elements. The intersection of SH 22 and Farm to Market Road (FM) 56 would be converted to a single lane roundabout to improve safety and mobility. The project takes place over 0.720 miles of roadway and would need 0.040 acres of Right-of-Way (ROW). The proposed project, subject to final design considerations, would require additional right-of-way and could potentially displace one nonresidential structure. Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. Information about the TxDOT Relocation Assistance Program, including services and benefits for displaced individuals and affected property owners, as well as the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction, may be obtained by calling the TxDOT Waco District Office at 254-867-2700. Environmental documentation, maps and drawings showing project location and design, tentative construction schedules and other project information are available for public inspection Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the TxDOT Waco District Office, 100 S. Loop Drive, Waco, TX 76704. Project materials are also available online and in hard copy at the in-person meeting. |
