All intersections will be converted to a Restricted-Crossing-U-Turn intersections, where side-street exiting is restricted to right-turns only, and turnarounds are constructed to complete the left-turn and through maneuvers. The existing Medina River bridge will remain in place, and a second bridge will be constructed to the west for the additional lanes. South of the Medina River, the roadway will transition back to the existing two-lane undivided highway.

The existing ROW varies from 220-feet to 720-feet so no additional right of way will be acquired for the proposed improvements. The proposed project would involve construction in wetlands. The proposed project would involve an action in a floodplain.
