Purpose The purpose of this workshop is to receive comments on the draft 2023-2026 Rural Transportation Improvement Program and to receive feedback for future planning efforts for the Alamo Regional Rural Planning Organization. The ARRPO region includes Atascosa, Bandera, Frio, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Gillespie, McMullen, Medina, and Wilson County. The San Antonio District also covers Uvalde county for the purposes of the Rural TIP. A workshop will be held in each county.
Description

The Rural TIP includes all regionally significant projects to be funded within a TxDOT District during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding. As such, these workshops offer the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. A project in the Rural TIP is a project coming to your community. The development of the Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program.

The Rural TIP workshops are being held pursuant to Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, which calls for an opportunity for public comment concerning the program. A presentation and exhibits showing how the Rural TIP operates and projects included in it will be displayed at each workshop. The virtual option will include the same information presented at the in-person workshop and include a pre-recorded presentation, individual county program materials and an interactive map. The virtual option will be available at the time of the workshop.

Accessibility The workshop and virtual option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs.
