Purpose:
The purpose of the public hearing is to present the planned improvements and to receive public comment on the proposed expansion of I-10 from SH 46 to FM 3351 (Ralph Fair Road) in Kendall and Bexar counties. Displays will be available for viewing at 5 p.m., with the formal hearing beginning at 6 p.m. Comments must be received on or before Oct. 17, 2019 to be a part of the official hearing record.
Description:
TxDOT proposes to expand I-10 from a four-lane highway to an eight-lane highway, from SH 46 to FM 3351 (Ralph Fair Road), a distance just under 10 miles in Kendall and Bexar counties, Texas. The proposed project expansion includes adding one new general purpose lane and one new high-occupancy vehicle lane in each direction. Existing bridges, crossings, and overpasses will also be widened, replaced, or modified to support these improvements. This project is anticipated to take place within the existing right-of-way.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
