Purpose:
The purpose of this hearing is to gather input on the proposed construction of a single-point urban interchange at Harry Wurzbach and Austin Highway in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. The first half of the meeting will be an open house format and the public hearing will begin at 6 p.m.
Description:
The proposed project would:
- Construct a single-point urban interchange at Harry Wurzbach and Austin Highway to provide access between these facilities
- Construct entrance and exit ramps, curbs, bike lanes, and sidewalks
- Reconstruct and remove driveways, illumination, traffic signal improvements, bridge widening, retaining walls, utility adjustments and relocations, and striping
The existing right-of-way (ROW) along Harry Wurzbach ranges from 184 to 238 feet. Under implementation of the proposed project, approximately 0.1 acre of additional ROW, 0.1 acre of temporary construction easements, and 0.4 acre of permanent easements would be required. Although additional ROW is required, no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced.
