Purpose:
The purpose of the public hearing is to gather public input on the proposed improvements to FM 2252 from Evans Road to FM 3009 in Bexar and Comal Counties. Displays will be available for viewing at 5:30 p.m. with the formal hearing starting at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to present the planned improvements and to receive public comment on the proposed project. Comments must be received on or before Jan. 30, 2019 to be a part of the official hearing record.
Description:
Proposed improvements include the following:
- Improvements include reconstruction and widening of the existing facility from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway with a raised median or continuous left turn lane
- Roadway design includes bike lanes, shared-use path, curb and sidewalk in at various points in each direction
- Replance existing bridge over Cibolo Creek and provide an overpass at the Union Pacific Railroad crossing
- Roadway improvements would be constructed primarily within the existing 120‑foot ROW. Approximately 2 acres of additional ROW would be required.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
