Description | TxDOT is proposing improvements to an approximately three-mile long segment of SH 16 from West Jett Road to Stacey Road in Von Ormy, Bexar County. The purpose of the proposed project is to improve safety for vehicular traffic and reduce the conflict points where crashes are most likely to happen. The roadway today consists of two lanes in each direction separated by a grassy median with crossovers at several cross streets. TxDOT proposes to close the crossovers and install unsignalized U-turn lanes. All improvements would be constructed within the existing right of way. |
