| Purpose | This regional workshop provides an opportunity for public input to identify specific transportation needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities in the community. This workshop will feature local transit providers at the following counties: Bailey, Castro, Cochran, Crosby, Dawson, Floyd, Gaines, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Parmer, Swisher, Terry, and Yoakum. |
| Description | The program provides federal funding for state or local government agencies, private non-profits, and private taxi companies that provide share-ride on-demand service to the general public. It supports the transportation needs of seniors and individuals living with disabilities and helps remove barriers to transportation and expands transportation options. |
| Accessibility | The 5310 Public Involvement Workshop (PIW) will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in PIW, please contact Lisa Johnson, Public Transportation Division, at 512-486-5960 or PTN_ProgramMgmt@txdot.gov, no later than 4 p.m. CT, at least 10 business days before the event. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for the Texas Department of Transportation to arrange.
