In-person Details | PFC Mario Ybarra Elementary School - Cafeteria 1800 E. Mile 10 North Road Weslaco, TX |
Purpose | The Hidalgo County Precinct #1 and the city of Weslaco in cooperation with TxDOT, are proposing to widen Mile 10 North Road from Mile 6 W (Westgate Dr.) to FM 1015, in the City of Weslaco, Hidalgo County, Texas. |
Description | The proposed improvements include widening the existing two-lane roadway to four lanes with an existing right of way of 60-90 feet wide and proposed right of way of 90-150 feet wide. The proposed roadway would consist of a 60 foot wide urban facility with four 12-foot-wide travel lanes, a 12-foot-wide continuous left-turn lane, a six-foot-wide sidewalk, and a 12-foot-wide shared-use path. Turning lanes would be provided at intersections and schools. Drainage would be provided by a storm drain system. Two existing drainage outfalls would be widened, cleaned and reshaped to address storm water runoff and existing structures would be removed and replaced. Although additional right of way would be required, no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time. Information concerning services and benefits available to affected property owners and information about the tentative schedule for right of way acquisition and construction can be obtained from the Hidalgo County Precinct #1 office at the address listed below. The proposed project would involve an action in a floodplain. |
