| Purpose | TxDOT is conducting a virtual public meeting to share information and gather input from the public on proposed improvements to SH 176 from FM 1788 in Andrews County to I-20 in Howard County. The virtual public meeting will present the preferred alternative, share background information, provide details on the project development process and timeline, and include multiple opportunities for the public to provide input through formal comment. |
| Description | TxDOT is proposing to widen the segment of SH 176 from FM 1788 in Andrews County to I-20 in Howard County, from a two-lane undivided highway to a four-lane divided highway with two lanes in each direction, shoulders, and a center median, with turn lanes and median openings to accommodate turning traffic. The proposed project is approximately 53 miles.
