| Purpose | The purpose of the virtual public meeting is to receive public comments on the proposed improvements for SH 176 from NW 9999 to FM 1788 east of the city of Andrews in Andrews County, Texas. Written comments must be received or postmarked by 11:59 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19, 2022, to be included in the official public meeting record. The virtual meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components. Following the virtual public meeting, all materials will remain available for viewing on this web page until 11:59 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19, 2022. If you do not have internet access, you may call 432-200-8502 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to ask questions and access project materials during the project development process. Formal comments may be provided by mail or email as explained below. |
| Description | The proposed improvements for the SH 176 West project would include widening the existing two-lane undivided highway to a four-lane divided highway, with two lanes in each direction, a center median or barrier, inside and outside shoulders and median openings, as needed. The proposed project is approximately 40 miles in length. No improvements through the city of Andrews are anticipated. |
