Public comment deadline All comments must be received on or before Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024.
Purpose The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is proposing to construct an overpass at the intersection of US 385 and South Loop 338 (Loop 338), on the south side of Odessa, in Ector County, Texas. This notice is affording an opportunity to comment as part of the environmental review process for this project.
Description

The proposed project would consist of widening Loop 338 from a two-lane, undivided highway to a four-lane, divided highway, with an overpass at US 385. The proposed Loop 338 would consist of two main lanes with inside and outside shoulders in each direction separated by a grassy median, along with entrance and exit ramps. An overpass would be constructed on Loop 338 at US 385, so that Loop 338 would travel over US 385.

Although additional right of way would be required, no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time. Information concerning services and benefits available to affected property owners and information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction can be obtained from the TxDOT district office by calling 432-498-4645.

Any environmental documentation or studies, maps and drawings showing the project loation and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed project are on file and available for inspection Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at TxDOT Odessa District Office, 3901 E. Highway 80, Odessa, Texas 79761, 432-498-4645. Project materials are also available below under "additional information".
