In-person details TxDOT is providing an in-person option for individuals who would like to participate in person instead of online. In-person attendees will be able to view the same presentation and materials delivered in the online public meeting, which will be playing on a screen, review hard copies of project materials, ask questions of TxDOT staff, and leave written comments. The in-person option will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Robert B. Brabham Middle School, 10000 FM 830, Willis, TX 77318.
Purpose The purpose of the public meeting is to present the proposed project to the public and receive comments. The project is proposing improvements along FM 830 from Old Montgomery Rd. to SH 75 in Montgomery County, Texas. The virtual and in-person meeting will consist of the same narrated presentation by the project team, project exhibits and other information, and an opportunity to comment.
Description

The proposed improvements would widen FM 830 (Seven Coves Road) from two to four lanes from Old Montgomery Road to SH 75. The proposed design includes a 5-foot wide sidewalk along the south side of the roadway corridor and a 10-foot wide shared use path along the north side. The project is approximately 2.5 miles in length with 120-foot wide existing right of way along FM 830. Acquisition of approximately 30 feet of new right of way along the majority of the project limits (approximately 5.3 acres) would be required.

Although additional right of way would be required, no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time. Information concerning services and benefits available to affected property owners and information about the tentative schedule for right-of-way acquisition and construction can be obtained from the TxDOT Relocation Assistance Program by calling 713-802-5000. The proposed project would involve an action in a floodplain.
