| In-person details | Additionally, TxDOT is providing an in-person option for individuals who would like to participate in person instead of online. In-person attendees will be able to view the same presentation and materials delivered in the online public meeting, which will be playing on a screen, review hard copies of project materials, ask questions of TxDOT staff, and leave written comments. The in-person option will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Cypress Creek Christian Community Center, 6823 Cypresswood Dr., Spring, TX 77379. |
| Purpose | The purpose of the public meeting is to present the proposed project to the public and receive comments. The project is proposing to construct sidewalks along FM 1960 from SH 249 to I-45 in Harris County, Texas. The virtual and in-person meeting will consist of the same narrated presentation by the project team, project exhibits and other information, and an opportunity to comment. |
| Description | The proposed project would improve pedestrian mobility and safety by constructing a six-foot-wide continuous sidewalk along both sides FM 1960 from SH 249 to I-45 for approximately seven miles. The proposed improvements would also include the installation of concrete pads for Metro bus stops where right of way allows. The project would require approximately 0.02 acres of new right-of-way with no displacements. |
