Purpose:
The purpose of the virtual public hearing is to present the proposed project to the public and receive comments. The project proposes proposing paving and drainage improvements to Westpark Drive from Wilcrest Drive to South Dairy Ashford Road in Houston, Harris County, Texas. The virtual hearing will consist of a narrated presentation by the project team, project exhibits and other information, and an opportunity to comment. Comments must be received on or before Wednesday, April 8, 2021, to be a part of the official hearing record.
Description:
This project consists of the widening and reconstruction of an approximately 2.13 mile portion of Westpark Drive from a two-lane road to a four-lane boulevard with sidewalks, a dedicated bike lane, street lighting, storm water drainage, and the relocation of underground utilities. The existing right-of-way (ROW) is 100 feet wide. The proposed improvements would take place all within existing ROW. No residential or commercial displacements are anticipated.

Memorandum of Understanding:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
