Public Meeting - SH 3 Access Management Study

Purpose:

The purpose of the public meeting is to gather input on an access management study for State Highway (SH) 3 from Brookglen Drive to the Harris/Galveston County line. The meeting will be held in an open house format where the public may come and go at their convenience and provide comments at any point.  Staff will be available to answer questions; no formal presentation is planned.

Description:

The purpose of access management is to provide vehicular access to land development in a manner that preserves the safety and efficiency of the transportation system. The SH 3 Access Management Study aims to identify short-, medium- and long-term access improvements to reduce crashes, improve mobility, and support existing and future development. The public is encouraged to attend and provide feedback about the study.

Special accommodations: Materials for the public meeting will be in English. Persons interested in attending the meeting who have special communication or accommodation needs, or require an interpreter, are encouraged to contact TxDOT’s Public Information Office at (713) 802-5076.  Requests should be made at least five working days prior to the public meeting.  TxDOT will make every reasonable effort to accommodate these needs. 

Comments must be received on or before Wednesday, March 14, 2018, to be a part of the official meeting record.
