SH 99 from FM 2403 to I-45

This Notice is Affording an Opportunity to Comment (NOC) as part of the environmental review process for this project. If you are a property owner, you are receiving this notice because records indicate that you own property that (1) would be acquired (in part or in whole) for this project, or (2) is adjacent to the project. This notice and opportunity to comment is also being provided to affected local governments and public officials.

A Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) and the Record of Decision (ROD) were approved in 2016 for the construction of a four-lane, controlled-access toll road with discontinuous frontage roads on new location within a 400-foot-wide ROW. Project limits for the approved project are from I-45 to SH 288 in Brazoria and Galveston Counties. Since the release of the FEIS and ROD design,

SH 99 Segment B was split into two segments, B1 and B2. Changes are being proposed between I-45 and FM 2403 (Segment B-1) that would require an environmental re-evaluation.

Although additional ROW would be required, no additional residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time. Information concerning services and benefits available to affected property owners and information about the tentative schedule for ROW acquisition and construction can be obtained from the TxDOT Houston District office by calling 713-802-5606.

you have difficulty communicating effectively in English or Spanish, one will be provided to you free-of-charge.
