The virtual public meeting will be available starting on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, by 5 p.m. on this webpage. The virtual public meeting will consist of a pre-recorded video presentation and will include both audio and visual components.

Please note that the presentation will not be available on the website until the time and date listed above. If you do not have internet access, you may call 713-802-5837 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, to ask questions and access project materials during the project development process. Formal comments may be provided by mail or email as explained below.

In-person details

TxDOT is providing four in-person open houses for individuals who would like to participate in person, instead of online. In-person attendees will be able to view the same pre-recorded presentation as posted online, review hard copies of project materials, ask questions, and submit written comments. In-person meetings will be held at four locations, but the information shared at each will be the same.

Purpose The purpose of the public meeting is to present study findings to date, present the Universe of Alternatives, or types of improvements that have been identified along the corridor, and to receive feedback from the public.
Description The PEL Study is a collaborative approach to transportation decision-making that considers environmental, community, and economic goals early in the transportation planning process and streamlines the process for delivering transportation solutions. The I-10 East PEL Study will identify transportation issues along the corridor and provide an opportunity for identifying and prioritizing potential solutions for those issues.

The public meeting will be conducted in English and Spanish. Memorandum of Understanding

As provided for by 23 CFR 450.212, 23 CFR 450.318, and Appendix A to 23 CFR Part 450, the results or decisions of this Planning and Environmental Linkages Study may be incorporated into or used as part of the review of this project under the National Environmental Policy Act, which will be carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 USC 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
