| Purpose | The TxDOT Fort Worth District is proposing improvements to FM 1187 from Bella Flora Dr (at the Parker County Line) to Chisholm Trail Pkwy in Tarrant County, Texas. |
| Description | The proposed project would reconstruct and widen FM 1187 from an existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway with a curbed grassy center median for the purpose of enhancing safety and improving capacity and connectivity. The project also includes the addition of shared-use paths in each direction for bicycle and pedestrian accommodation, intersection improvements (with possible re-alignment of the intersections at US 377 involving the analysis of three alternatives), improvements to the at-grade Fort Worth and Western Railroad crossing (including a possible overpass alternative), and drainage improvements. |
