Purpose The TxDOT Fort Worth District is proposing improvements to FM 1187 from Bella Flora Dr (at the Parker County Line) to Chisholm Trail Pkwy in Tarrant County, Texas.
Description The proposed project would reconstruct and widen FM 1187 from an existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway with a curbed grassy center median for the purpose of enhancing safety and improving capacity and connectivity. The project also includes the addition of shared-use paths in each direction for bicycle and pedestrian accommodation, intersection improvements (with possible re-alignment of the intersections at US 377 involving the analysis of three alternatives), improvements to the at-grade Fort Worth and Western Railroad crossing (including a possible overpass alternative), and drainage improvements.
Accessibility The virtual public meeting will be conducted in English and some materials will also be provided in Spanish. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting, please contact Jim Lang, P.E. at 817-370-6760 no later than 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
